Skykomish River Steelhead Flyfishing Schools

June 11, 12 or 13
Itinerary and Detail list

=======================================================================

Welcome! We are so glad you are joining us......

Before you do anything.....take a few minutes and read the entire itinerary. It should answer most questions.

If you haven't reserved a specific day with Dennis, you will need to do this before sending the money. Giving a first and second preference as to which day best fits your schedule, helps.

Flyfishing the Skykomish River is a favorite winter steelhead fishery. If you like flyfishing steelhead, you are going to love the Sky. I hope you are as excited about our up-coming school(s) as we are. This is our fifth year we have put on these classes, and always have lots of fun, as well as being instructional.

Securing a place in your class. After discussing with Dennis (by email) which date works, be sure to send your $75 deposit to:

Dennis Dickson, Flyfishing
PO Box 295
Arlington WA 98223

Meeting Place: We will meet at the Lewis Street bridge parking lot, Monroe. (see directions)

Time: 8am

Itinerary: We will get dressed to fish at the Lewis Street Parking Lot (see directions), and caravan to the Sultan River put in. If you have a large capacity vehicle, such as minivan or station wagon.......please bring it. It will make the car shuttle easier. Our plan is to Float from Sultan downstream to Monroe......... Some of the best flywater on the river.

We will have pontoon rafts for each angler, if you have a boat and want to bring it.....fine, just tell me, so we can plan accordingly. Mike can take two anglers with him in the big raft, but plan on rowing, unless you tell me different. (Most anglers end up wanting to row.......its probably the funnest river, we do)

Plan on plenty of streamside lecture, but of course the learning is in the doing. Angler to guide is 3:1.

First part of the day, will be streamside lecture. By noon we will be into demonstration, and finally by the days end you will be presenting the fly (fishing) and Mike and I will be critiquing the progress.

You should have the following:

Things to Bring: Take a look at the recommended flies, lines and gear. If you have stuff now.....fine, bring it. DO NOT RUN DOWN TO YOUR LOCAL fly SHOP LOOKING FOR OUR STUFF......(YOU WON'T FIND IT) AND YOU MAY ALSO END UP BUYING A BUNCH OF STUFF, YOU NEVER USE.
