Surface flies for Skagit Steelhead / Fall Salmon![]() Amber Dickson releasing a Pink Salmon After reflecting on the all the fisheries I have done for the past ten years, I would have to say, the most relaxing, enjoyable, consistent fishing, catching trip I do is.............. flyfishing Skagit River Steelhead & Pink Salmon. Please consider: 4 to 10 pound fish on the Wild and Scenic Skagit River in the fall. The scenery is just stunning and weather is warm dry and wonderful. We fish small flyrods 3 to 6 weight. Pleasant to cast and really shows off the strength and power of these great fish. The Pink Salmon enter in bright and strong, and with the flies I have developed, we catch them consistently on floating lines. We get to use all our steelhead floating line techniques including Grease Lining in the surface, and Waking Flies! Yup, you heard it right. Surface flies! I kid you not. We fish and float an area from Marblemount all the way down to Hamilton. A daily float generally consists of a 8 to 10 mile stretch, in this region. We take parties of six. You can put together together your own group, or come join another. Trust me, on the Skagit, there is plenty of room. I have a flotilla of little rafts, easy to use and everyone loves to row. A tasty BB-Q lunch will be provided for your eating enjoyment! September is the month and we still have a few prime dates. Whether you have fished all over the world or just getting started, everyone loves this trip. Cost - $150 per angler. Looking forward to seeing you, Dennis
