Do you take out novices?

I specialize in teaching new anglers the art and science of taking salmon and steelhead on a fly.

Which waters do you guide?

My fishing Calendar is set up on a monthly basis. Winter finds me wading flats with clients, in Mexico. I fish steelhead on streams north of Seattle, namely; the Skykomish,Stilly, Skagit and the Sauk each spring. I also fish the Olympic Peninsula in March. I head to Alaska in late April and come back to the Stilly to fish Summer steelhead until the fall. On odd years August and September finds me skating flies for salmon and steelhead on the Skagit and Stillaguamish rivers. October is always our surface steelhead campouts the Grande Ronde River.

How long have you been guiding professionally?

Since the early Eighties

Do you only flyfish?

Yes. Growing up on the Stilly (flyfishing only) it is all I have ever done.

Do you ever take out non-flyfishers?

Occasionally, but primarily those that either flyfish or wish to learn how.

Provided is water transportation, any additional equipment needs (bring what you have, I will tell you, if it is adequate for the quarry), and flies et al are included. Chest waders are not included.
