Jeremy Floyd
Biography

Jeremy and
a Northern California wild steelhead
Born
and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Jeremy Floyd would choose no other
place to call home. Growing up on the East side of the state in Cheney,
Jeremy (The youngest of 8 children) spent most days in the summers fishing
with siblings on the local lakes and rivers for bass, trout, and panfish.
By High School age he was living in Reedsport, Oregon fishing the Umpqua,
it's tidewaters, and the beautiful Pacific Coast for Coho, Kings, Striper,
Smallmouth Bass, and Sea Run Cutthroat under the watchful, and seasoned
eyes of his Dad. While taught to flyfish at age 10 it never really stuck
until later in life.
Converted to steelhead flyfishing by his older brother Brad in 1998 while
attending Humboldt University in Northern California, Jeremy has never
looked back. Focused intently on the flyfishing and guided by his older
brothers endless patience and knowledge paid dividends quickly in the
world class flyfishing of Northern California. Salmon, Steelhead, "Half
Pounders," and Albacore, were the targets in late summer, Fall, and
Winter. Spring time would often bring weekly "after class trips"
to Hat Creek, McCloud, Lewiston, and Dunsmuir for the second to none trout
waters which are considered holy water by many anglers. Jeremy's specialty
is flyfishing the majestic Klamath River Steelhead in the fall. Multiple
fish days on a floating line is the rule.
Back in Washington as of 2002, Jeremy has relished the return. At 33 he
is grateful for the opportunity to guide and "live the dream"
choosing to spend over a hundred days per year on the water fishing with
Dickson clients as well as his kids. As a General Contractor, Jeremy builds
custom homes when he is not guiding in Washington and California.
