The
3 day Cabin/Camp out Clinic:
Anglers begin their 3 day adventure from Washington's Bogans Oasis, overlooking
the Grande Ronde River.
Plan on lots of instructional and guided fishing:
Day 1 Fishing starts early and finishes at nightfall. We fish over many
of the productive pools only minutes from Bogan's Oasis restaurant/lodging. Comfortable lodging
and wonderful meals provided from the lodge (included with the trip).
Day 2 Begins as Day 1. After more instructional fishing a restaurant
luncheon is provided (included with the trip). After lunch Anglers will gather their camping supplies as we drive
off to our mid-river camp. After learning some new water and settling in, anglers can kick back at the camp or walk down to the river to fish some more remote and beautiful pools.
Day 3 The outfitted camp is yours for the stay & play. Anglers are on your own with the knowledge of the right equipment and pools on the river to fish all day. You are welcome to stay the 3rd night, we will be in with a new group mid afternoon on your 4th day. You will be amazed how much water you have learned!
About
the instructional and guided fishing:
Absolutely the greatest rush in freshwater, is learning to raise steelhead to surface
flies. One of the finest steelhead streams in the world, to teach
the art of surface flies, is Washington's own Grande Ronde River, and its wild summer
steelhead. Dennis and Mike have been teaching or fishing the GR. since the mid eighties,
and now the Dickson fly fishinginstructors are ready to teach you how to fish it. These
3 day fly fishing trips will cover all aspects of floating and
sinktip line presentations as angler learn some twenty miles of this world
class fishery. Skaters, bombers, grease lining, wet fly swing on an open
loop, which pools to fish, what flies to fish, and
how to fish them. Up to six anglers are allowed per trip with 2 guides, while you are
taught from sunrise to sunset. There are so many pools! We also do single day guide trips.
Discovering the nuances of the lie water, where the steelhead
hold, which pools consistently hold fish, and avoiding those that don't, that is
worth the experience itself!

Hi
Dennis,
Well,
I just got back to civilization and wanted to say thanks for showing me
a good time over on the Grande Ronde. I had so much fun and learned a
lot, from all of you guys. It was my first steelhead trip. I got to fish
with Mike the most, I enjoyed his company and I learned a lot from him.
He was always there to help out and to laugh along with me and my comedy
of errors. From over spinning reels to near-dunkings, I had some good laughs
with him!
I also wanted give a big thanks to you for coaching me into that steelhead
on a dry. It was the most exciting thing that's ever happened at the other
end of my fly line! Just to see the take and feel the fish on...I don't
see how it can get better than that! Learning from you that afternoon made
getting a fish on top like that for me a total bonus. It's something I'll
remember for the rest of my life and I can't thank you enough for that.
Sincerely,
Willie
U.

Just a good deal! For many outfitters, it's just about the fish. We actually teach.

We believe the key to our steelheading success is personal attention.
Rare to even find two of our instructors & clients learning on the same
